Bala Area Attractions
Bala Lake is the largest natural lake in Wales and is about 4 miles
long and 140 feet deep. Some 129 species of birds visit the lake
including heron, snipe, cormorants and coots well as swans.
13 species of fish inhabit the lake including the rare Gwyniad,
it is only found in Bala Lake. Bala itself is a very old town dating
back to 1307 during King Edward II reign.
It was also stated that this area of Wales was in turmoil: rife
with thieves and bandits Gwylliad Cochion and others. This page
